Literature Text

Oh be still my beating heart.

There it sits, proud and majestic in its finality,

Awaiting the moment of peace

Where no demands betray me

And no anxieties awake me.

Oh be still, joyous soul. The time will come.

It comes! It comes!

The first pages stir under my fingertips.

It roars like the thunder!

It burns like the sun!

I love that burning fire.

I reach out and embrace.

A poem I wrote in honor of receiving the final book for the Wheel of Time Series by Robert Jordan in the mail. This is basically my favorite series of all time, and I've just been putting it up all over the place, hoping to lure in a few Wheel of Time fans or something. Plus, I originally posted it on Facebook, so it's not like there's anyway for me to make a profit off of it at any point in time. I'm just sharing it.
